Visa for Newborn kid in IRCC portal

Hi, I am planning to apply visa for my newborn kid. While applying on IRCC new portal, what option should be selected? Is it Visitor Visa -> To visit my spouse,child,parent etc.. or Study Permit? Also is Upfront medicals required for newborn kid? If anyone has done in the recent past on new IRCC portal, please let me know.

What is your status in Canada?

And for a new born , you need a Visitor visa

Upfront medical is not required

I have submitted and got approval for my friend's new born in Sep 2021 and can share experiences from that. You can PM me if you want

Visit visa is always for a short stay. Applying for so long will lead to refusal

I have applied for TRV for my kid. Received passport submission request.
I am opting for Two way courier service for Passport transmission.
In case of minors, who should sign the SMS/courier form ?
I understand that VFS consent form is not required for minors.

I believe you applied for the second time immediately after the first refusal. sorry correct me if am wrong.

could you please share the list of documents and sample supporting letter that you have included for the TRV which was approved.

My sister-in-law is a student and she has a 2-year-old son back home. She wants to apply for his visa, so I have a couple of questions and I would appreciate it if you could answer them to the best of your knowledge:
1. What visa would be appropriate (visitor?)
2. Can she apply using her own CIC account or does she need to create a new Gckey account for him?
3. Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
