Me and my husband have PR status. We have applied for PR for our daughter who is USA born. Application was applied from inside canada. At the time of entering canada, the immigration officer has given 6mths temp. visa for our daughter which will expire in Dec 15, 2012. We have received letter from immigration that as a sponsor we have met all the requirements. My question is do we need to get her visa extended while the application process has already started? OR Can we go to USA and come back and she will be given another 6 mths temp visa while entering back?
Does she really need visa extention or she can continue her stay otherwise ?
Thanks everyone for reading and please write your suggestions.

I think you need to apply for an extension, as the inland process doesn't apply to dependent children. In her case you are probably sponsoring her outland? ( even if you are both inside Canada - it matters where you sent your application. If it's Mississauga, then it's an outland process, even if all of you are in Canada).
You can choose. You can either apply for her visa extension BEFORE it expires, and include a copy of the sponsorship letter to see that the PR process has started and you are halfway through. Or you can go to the US and re-enter and ask for a 6 months visa again. It's always up to the border officer to let her in again, but if both parents are in Canada and the PR process has started (bring the sponsorship email/letter to the border when you go), then it should be fine.
The first solution gives you "implied status" ( on tourist visa) until they answer, but has to be started ( you can do it online) BEFORE the end of the current visa. The other one can be done anytime (now, or the day it expires).
