My work permit and my multiple entry visa are expiring next year due to passport expiry. I have submitted the passport for renewal, and will be submitting the extension for work permit after I get my new passport. Because of the expiry in my passport, it’s mentioned in the work permit that I will have to leave next year. I have the following question:
Should I also file an application for visa extension after I get my work permit or will they ask me to submit my passport and attach the new visa while renewing my work permit. I understand that these two are separate documents so will they involve a separate process?
I recommend you wait untill your passport gets renewed and then only apply for the work permit extension. When you apply for the extension manually, you will be asked to provide scanned copy of your updated passport.
