Visa expiration and re-enter Canada

Hi,

My study permit expires on July 31st, if i traveled outside of Canada and returned on June 1st (2 months before the expiration date), would i be able to re-enter Canada or would there be any problems? (I am planning to apply for my study permit extension when i get back).

1. If you are NOT visa exempt and your TRV is valid, you should be fine.
2. If you ARE visa exempt and you study permit was issued before August 1, 2015 , you will need an eTA if you are planning to leave Canada and return by air.
