I need an advice my spouse wants to visit to canada to spend time with me and he has US green card (which is visa exempt) to canada . He is coming for 5 months and he has return flight as well? what should he say to Immigration officer that he is visiting to meet with his spouse and spend a good time and he has return flight as well and he will return back as per schedule . Will it not be any problem if he is visiting to his spouse ?

But he is not visiting, he is coming to live with you for 5 months. A visit is something short, like 2-3 weeks.
And because of this he will have to show evidence on entry that he plans to leave after those 5 months. How is he going to sustain himself? Doesn't he have a job? If he doesn't have a job and his wife is in Canada why would he leave? etc.
