Guys,
Here is my profile - kindly give me your views on the Visa chances from your experience...
Completed 12th - 2004 - 59%
IELTS - 6.5 (Nothing less than 6)
With that, I have applied for Diploma Course in Humber and got the admission for Business Management..
Work experience - as a Business Analyst - 7 years
As I have educational gap for about 8+ Years. Im not sure whether I will be eligible for SPP
Am taking sabbatical from my current origanisation to show that career growth is the motive am selecting a Dip, as I need international exposure to attain higher positions...
So with this kinda profile... What are my visa chances... and how can I build a strong Study plan...
Appreciate your help on this concern...
Gap is too much , But still can't help it.
Just add good documents of your job.
If possible show a letter from your current employer, stating that you will join the job after studying in Canada. [ Strong ties to home country]
Add jobs pay slip and experience certificate to make it genuine.
And don't forget to write a SOP.
Good Luck.

First... Thanks a lot for your Reply Aman... Appreciate that...
So when you say the letter from my current employer... They can give me a letter stating that Am on a sabbatical leave and my service with the company is active.. Thats it... I dont think they will mention that I can join back if I return r something....And when you say good documents about job - Does it mean good ref letters from my PM and other biggies??? Will that help?
And again after about 7 Years of experience is it advisable to go to a diploma course Vs a graduate program?? But Thats the only option I got.. because with my current employer the max sabbatical leave I can afford is 2 Years...N more over I cant afford to spend for a 4 Years course...
So will my work experience be a an advantage to me? if I mention that this international exposure will help me attain higher ranks.....As I have hit a saturation point in my career, where I req an international degree to compete with my peers...
Appreciate your suggestion....
Hi,
Yes, such letter from employer will be fine. Good documents like a certificate which shows that you were working for this company for so many years. Add few pay slips too. This will make them sure that you were doing something in this gap period and "now applying for higher education for more qualifications". [Mention it in SOP]
As your Last study was High School. So you can apply for Diploma Program.
Good Luck.

Yes Aman...I have the pay slips and Form 16 for more than 6 years, As I only worked with 2 companies(Including my current) in last 7 Years... So I dont have a problem submitting those proofs... My only worry is that after 7 years of experience going for a dip program... But for me that will be the basic...As I dint have that here....Not sure how exactly the VO will see...Even if I mention that in my SOP...Because itseems I should proove that "why not study in India" As in writting, context and meaning differs from person to person Vs a personal Interview... And is it possible to apply in general category for the first time itself rather SPP? Any idea about that?
Thanks a ton for the response....
I think you should apply in general category.
Because gap is not at all good for spp .
Gud luck

1. Your 12th standard might be an issue (not 7+ years experience).
2. From VO's perspective: You are hiding your UG.
@enfield - Why do you say that the VO will think Am hiding it??? But I aint....
