Hi , I came to canada in 2010 studies 2 years associates degree at George brown College, then got 3 year work permit. Worked for a company for 4 years as Information Systems Manager. Got eligible for PR and applied for PR received PR on August 2015. Then tragedy struck in March 2016, I went through a bad episode of kidney stones, but that developed anxiety and depression and I lost it all. I returned to India to my family so that they can take care of me. I got treated and got married, started working and still working. Have a child 9 months old.
My PR expired on September 2020. Now I really want to come back with my wife and Kids, who are both Indian citizens. I see that I am eligible for express entry, but I am concerned if my application will get rejected because I had PR in the past and it expired 7 months ago.
Please advise what I can do. I am hail and hearty now. Have been treated and ready to start the second phase of my life. Please advise. You can mail me at mohamedishaik@gmail.com
Hi Dankboi, thank you for your response. Yes I have the medical history backed by all the documents for the past 4 years. And I am still on very mild medication and my doctor says I need to continue that. So with these details can I start the application in Canadian express entry programe ?? My CRS score is 534 and I am eligible for Canadian experience class. Please suggest so that I don't face a rejection.

The CRS score for my wife as primary is 496, whereas me being primary is coming upto 534. So I can start applying in express entry ... Please advise if it is a good idea ??

No my wife is not Canadian. She is indian too and she has never been to canada. I have a 9 month old daughter too... Like I said I did a two year program in Toronto in IT and worked as a IT manager for 4 years in Mississauga. Doesn't that make me eligible for Canadian Experience class..
Also my PR expired in September 2020 . So do I still renounce the status and if yes, could you pls advise how do I do that ??

In your first post you say “Now I really want to come back with my wife and Kids, who are both Canadian citizens.”
To be eligible for CEC, your work experience must be within the last 3 years and you would have to be the primary applicant. You aren’t eligible for CEC because your work experience was years ago. Also you need to renounce PR before can apply again.

You said in your first post that your wife and child are Canadian citizens. I assume that was an error?
You don't qualify for Canadian Experience Class based on the information you have provided. To qualify for this stream, you need to have at least one year of full time work experience in the last three years. It sounds like you left Canada in 2016.
Until you renounce your PR, you can not apply for anything. This will take time. Make sure you have enough points before renouncing your PR. You can always come without your family through a land border if you have a US visa. You hope you are not flagged at the border to start proceedings to take away your PR. You then stay in Canada until you meet PR obligations and then sponsor your spouse and child. It will take years.
If sure on renouncing PR, have you done an ECA for your wife’s? That would be the first step. Also you both need languge tests to submit a profile.
