email me at pradeep.avv@gmail.com if some one is on same boat.

Pradeep.

hello anybody from vancouver applyin for citizenship this Aug 2013 ?
Hello there
I live in Surrey BC and here is my timeline:
Sept 27, 2012 sent application
Sept 27, 2012 CIC acknowledgement letter plus study guide ( received these Nov 19, 2012 but dated Sept 27...allow for delays in postage)
Jan 7, 2013 status changed from "Received" to "In Process"
Im a frequent traveller to the USA as well and was told by a CBSA officer that daily or weekend visits should not count against your residency in Canada. But if you plan to travel for more than 7-30 days you have to notify CIC.
Good Luck
I m in Vancouver - my application date will be may 15 2013 but I finish residency requirement on 1 march 2013
Because I have many daytrips to usa
where sometimes due to delay at border I came back at 12.20 am in night and as per border officer it counts as a day away since u r back in the next day
Sometimes I comeback next morning at 4 am or 6 am too and I stayed over night in usa
over all I do not know exact days where I spend midnight in usa but I have about 60 day trips to usa
so 60 days + i think its good idea just to go over by 15 days and then apply
any inputs on these
as far as I understand - if u left in morning or evening and comeback from usa at or after 12.01 am in night it counts as a day away from canada
But, if left early morning and u come back at or before 11.59 pm at night on same day - it doesn't count as a day away from Canada and qualifies as a daytrip
- confirmed this with officer at border too

you do not need to apply for the cbsa report. in new application forms they request your travel records from the cbsa themselves.

Hi Jigga,
We almost have the same timeline & local office:
August 30, 2012 sent application and they sent us a study guide
December 28, 2012 they started the process
I called CIC last week and I was told that they transferred our applications in Surrey on June 13, 2013. It usually takes 7-8 months before they send out invitations to take citizenship tests. We still haven't received anything to date.
Anne
I applied from Vancouver on October 21, 2013. No news from CIC yet.
Please keep us updated about your news pkakula. When did e-cas showed "received" for you and when did you receive AOR?

Vancouver is SO slow! More than a year and no test date! Urg. I applied Aug 30, 2013
Our local office is in Surrey, B.C., and yes, they are super slow!
