I would like to know about the Validity of Police Certificate for Country of Origin.
I am in Canada for about two years now.
Previously, I lived in my country and in another country for 6 years.
I got Police Certificates from the two countries already last year (November).
1- Which of them is valid and which is not?
2- If any of them is not valid, and I have 40 days to submit my application, can I submit the old one + proof of application for the a new one ans explain this in the LOE?
For the applicant’s current country of residence, the PC must be issued no more than six months before submission of the e-APR.
For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the PC must be issued later than the departure date of the last time the client resided in that country for more than six months.
There is also a statement contradicting the second point - PCs are typically valid for one year from the date they are issued (mentioned as general rule of thumb).
