Can anyone please let me know what is the validity of a Notarized Affidavit for Date of Birth.
In my case, I do not have a Date of Birth Certificate. I have applied for the same with CGI. But from what I see on the posts, Education Certificates with DOB and DOB from CGI might not suffice.
I had got an Affidavit evidencing my DATE OF BIRTH Notarized in India way back in June 2010. Can anyone share their experience / inputs if I can use the same Affidavit in my CEC application in May 2012. I have the original copy of the same which I am planning to attach.
As I understand from the posts on this blog. Just getting DOB Certificate from CGI and our Educational Certificates evidencing our DOB will not suffice to convince the Officer for PR under CEC. It is very advisable to affix a notarized Affidavit. But I am not sure if I can use the same old one and its validity.
I don't have a date of birth certificate, and I applied in Indian immigaration here in canada. But they have mentioned as per the passport the date birth is DD-MMM-YYYY. And immigration sent a letter with all my application back asking for an affidavit stating applicant name, date of birth and name of parents.
Now I need your help to know to where to apply and how to apply, can you please shed some light on this?
