hi,
my wife has a closed work permit and i had valid canadian visa till 2024. when i last travelled to india in december i got my name corrected in the passport . there was aminor spelling error in that. after getting the new passport i applied for a new visa and my visa got rejected.
i have two questions
1) is the visa in my old passport still valid if it is accompanied by an affidavit and the newspaper clipping that shows the change in name.
2) how does the rejection of the visa in my new passport affect the visa in my old passport.
thanks
Are you sure your new application wasn't refused because you already have a valid TRV and can't apply for another one on top of it?
What did the refusal letter say?
I believe that you don't meet the requirements because you already have a valid TRV, but if you can make contact with your local CDN embassy or any Canadian visa office overseas it couldn't hurt to ask them.
