Valid job offer concern

HI, I'm a bit confused. I'm using a lmia exempt permit but it is a closed permit. My employer only give one year contract each time. September will be my first completed year in Canada and I am thinking of applying for a PR through express entry. It says the job offer needs to be valid for a year. Does that mean after my permit and job offer is renewed for September I'm not able to apply since I would have already started working on my second contract?
