Hello! Any help is greatly appreciated. I moved to Canada in 2009 been living here ever since with a PR status, graduated high school here, went to college and been working for the past 6 years. I am booking a vacation to Cancún next month and my PR card has been expired and lost for a long time. I travelled to Mexico in 2018 and got back in with my U.S.A passport no issues. I beleive I told them I was in the process of renewing it. Does anyone know forsure if I can go on my vacation and come back as a US citizen? Or say my PR card renewal is in process? Or that I simply lost it and waiting for a new one? Thankyou for any feedback!

There answer isn't certain. There's definitely a very good chance they will allow you to board the return flight home in Mexico based on your US passport. However also some chance they may require you to have a valid PR card or PR Travel Document given your status in Canada. The safest way to handle this is to fly home through the US and re-enter Canada through a land border.
