I just want to ask like why IRCC has opened up vacs if they haven’t even processed the previous applications being waiting from 6-9 months like seriously most complete applications are still waiting & now they opened VACs this will clearly result in more complete applications & more delay for old applicants, Back log should be cleared first before processing new applications
Yesterday I saw october applicants getting OPR withing 2 weeks, Lol seriously is this a joke.I have been patient enough but this literally sucks & a complete fucked up situation.
No offence to applicants who would be going to get there biometrics submitted
They were going to get opened today or tomorrow anyways, the pending backlog isn't the deciding factor on whether or not VFS can be opened, it is rather the COVID situation in that particular country. Though it will cause influx of complete applications but it doesn't mean they should completely disrupt all (or some) of their services just as a means to process pending applications. There may be better approaches like hiring more staff, etc or come up with student friendly policy changes.
And the folks you're seeing online getting approval in 2 weeks maybe trolls or may just be 'one of those thousand' lucky candidates or just special case scenarios noone is aware of. Trust me, every other student nowadays having a pending approval is anxious and stressed including the ones with AIPs but pending biometrics waiting since >= 6 months.

Applied on march 11 with complete file
AIP on august 13
BVL on October 30
No update after that
But applicant from sept got visa approval
Even his passport with stamp recieved this week
And even he bought the ticket to travel next month
What the hell is going on?
really frustrating

They are randomly picking and processing applications thats why its causing such scenarios.
In addition, we need to look at lot of other factors like DLI list update when the college was added, Biometrics, and medical status (may be the previous applicant).
Let's hope for the best and pray that our turn comes ASAP.
