Yes, it's possible.
And traveling as well? Or will they give me a hard time at the border without pr going and coming back in
yes, it is I got a visa without PR and already visited twice in a month lol and I got a visa even without an interview ..

unfortunately how you are treated at the border is dependent on the US border officer you face, not how you got your visa.
as for CBSA just make sure your RTD is valid and you have some immigration document (study or work permit etc.) although they never asked for mine, they could ask for it.

Ive re-entered canada on an rtd 4+ times and CBSA has only ever asked me for the rtd.
However one of those times the airline staff in toronto before i left canada asked for my work or study permit (I did not have PR), I didnt have it on me (original work permit, they wouldnt accept a pic on my phone) and they eventually came back saying they would let me board but I would have to sign a waiver saying it was not the airline's responsibility if CBSA denied me entry into canada when i came back.
I ended up having a friend bring me my work permit before boarding.

For how long did they give you the visa's validity? Usually, the RTD is valid for 2 years.

Hello, which document did you use instead of the PR? The notice of decision?
I have an appointment for my Dutch visa, they told me on the phone that not having a PR shouldn't be a problem but then on a email thet say that I can only apply for a visa with a valid PR.
I'm a bit lost
