Hi Guys,
I worked in the US in 2010-11 and obtained a PCC from FBI in April 2016. I currently live in Canada and am about to submit my application for express entry. But currently I am on a vacation in the US for a couple of weeks. Will the vacation render my PCC useless? I am not gonna live here just a small vacation that I have mentioned in my travel history. I know earlier the rule was that a PCC was needed only if you live again in a country for 6 months but current verbiage seems confusing. Looking for advice on the issue.
Thanks.

You need a new PCC now which will include your current vacation time too. The new PCC should be dated after you leave US.
I'm in a similar situation. Got my US PCC on Jan 25th and I moved to Canada on the 8th of March. The first one is still under 6 months, but the rules are not very clear so I ended up requesting for a new one and my package was delivered literally 2 hours ago. Assuming I get my ITA in the next draw, I will be submitting the old one and mention that the new one is on the way.
I suggest you apply for a new one right away and submit your application with the old one and mention that you have requested for a new one in light of your current travel to the US. It will only set you back about 25$ or so including shipping.

Thanks for your reply. Will I need to provide any proof that I have applied for the new pcc?

Yes. Just take a screen shot of the mail delivery confirmation from USPS website.
Guys anyone took fingerprints by himself/herself?
Hey Folks,
I have been living in US since last 3+ years starting Nov 2014 and spent 6+ months in three different states including current state.
My question is, Do I need Criminal History check from all three states ?
I have my Criminal history records from last two states already including FBI CJIS.
Many thanks in advance.
