Can a US international student apply for Canada study permit from US instead of going back to home country?

Make sure the studies you plan to complete in Canada make sense in light of any previous work experience and your US studies.

Yes you can. I am doing this right now.. However, I believe it takes longer time. I applied on Oct 14, did not get updates yet!! and my studies will start on Jan 3
