US resident wanting to work in Canada

I am a Canadian living in the US for 4 + years. I came here on a fiance visa. I would like to return to work in Canada while America husband stays here and works (for a few more years). We are both dentists and I don't have a licence to practice here. Can we live and work in separate countries and claim our own taxes in said counties? Will it become harder to cross at the border?

In that case you really need to join a US immigration forum and ask this question from a US perspective. The US is quite strict with regards to green card status and the time spent living in the US - being away too long can cause problems with your status and at the border.

No issues from the Canadian perspective.
