My daughter and I are US citizens. My wife is a permanent resident of the US. We came to Canada in Nov 2012. We could stay here without visa for 6 mnths. That 6 mnths expires on Apr 22, 2013.
I had to go to US last week end to attend a birthday party, and came back on the same day after the party. Will my re-entry count as new entry or should I apply for visa extension.

Did you get a new stamp in your passport?
From what I know, there is a 6 month limit per calendar year limit to
US citizens
No they diddn't stamp anything on our passport. Usually for US citizens, they don't stamp anything on the passport when you enter Canada by land.
