Hi,
I'd like to travel to Canada for 6 months, I'm a US Citizen graduating University in May.
What I'd like to know is, can I take a U-Haul trailer over the border? I'm staying in my friend's basement, and I need some furniture, like bookshelves, my table, desk, etc. Is this a problem?
Thanks!

The officers might think that you are moving in, not coming for a visit.
You could save the cost of a U-haul and buy some furniture at a local thrift store.
6 months is a long time to go without most of my stuff!
But you cannot "move", you have to be a visitor.

You can probably ship some of your smaller "stuff" but not your furniture. Bringing in too much when coming for a visit is a trigger. You don't want to be "flagged" on the system.
