Hello, me and my spouse have Canadian PR and planning to move to Canada this year but our child was born in USA (US Citizen/Passport holder) in mid 2020 (10 month old) and does not have PR. We live in USA and our child was not born at the time we filed for our Canadian PR. We cant leave him behind and want to bring him with us when we move to Canada. I guess we have to be in Canada to sponsor our child but we want to move together and I am not clear on what options I have to bring our child with us. Can you please advise ?

He can enter as a visitor. In most provinces he won't qualify for healthcare so you'll need to purchase emergency medical insurance and pay for routine care.
6 months although you can ask at the border if they would consider giving your child a year because you will be sponsoring him. If you have the sponsorship application ready to go that you could show that would be a benefit and/or proof that you've prepaid for the application. Never hurts to ask. If not, then yes you can extend right before the expiry date of the first visitor record.

When you move to canada and sponsor your child from inside of Canada, your child can stay with you until the papers are done, so the 6 month no longer applies.
