I am currently working as a shift coordinator (supervisor) at a Burger King in mississauga. I have already finished more than a year of my work experience here and all prepared to apply my residency. Someone recently just told me my position might not be considered under NOC and that really scared me. My 3 year work permit is expiring May 2013 and I need to have my residency before that in order to stay legal here. So can someone please help me as I am really confused if i should go through a lawyer or do it myself. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

did they give you a reason why you might not be considered?? your position can be considered either (depends on which fits your dutites better) NOC 0631 or NOC 6311 and they both qualifies for CEC
No problem! Technically, you could still use codes from NOC list 2006, but they last thing I'd wanna do is to make the VOs actually use their brain and work...lol don't want any excuses that would cause my files to be rejected/delayed
Hello,
I am in a similar situation to the Original Poster. I'm just wondering if anyone has been given the PR after applying as a Shift Manager? Or if anyone knows which list they use? 2006 or 2011. I guess it would make sense the 2011 one...!

both qualify, food service supervisor is noc a while shift manager is noc b, I dont know about the case of the original poster it can be that duties and job title didn't match, just make sure in your application, your position and duties match, you can use noc 2011

I obtained 1 year of Canadian working experience as a food service supervisor (NOC 6311) and applied under CEC this year. I was recently granted PR successfully. There should be no problem to apply with it.
