URGENT :Spouse back home with new born baby expecting in August

I applied under express entry with dependent spouse under CEC class in march 2017 . I received email last month to submit the passports to ottawa. I submitted my passport to ottawa and my wife submitted her passport to Islamabad embassy in Pakistan because she never come to Canada. I received my stamped passport back from ottawa last week but I am still waiting for my spouse passport. I heard from some people that she will not receive her passport until I finish my landing. Once I will finish my landing , they will send the notification to Islamabad embassy Pakistan and then they will issue her the Visa.

My wife is pregnant and she cannot travel now and due date is August end. Can I complete my landing at this stage and then notify that my wife is pregnant? or do i have to wait till my baby is born and then complete my landing with my family.I could have disclosed about the pregnancy earlier but they mentioned in the email which I recieved for passport request is let us know if their is family composition change( Birth or adoption) but they never mentioned about the pregnancy. I have my passport with me but my wife passport is still sitting in Islamabad embessy. I want to know that what is the next step?

Your wife's passport is just taking longer to be stamped. They are not waiting for you to land before issuing it. Whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about.

Once you land, your app is closed. You would not be able to add your child. You would then need to sponsor your wife and child. Note that as a PR, you are required to be in Canada while sponsoring, so you would most likely be separated from your family during the process.

Or you delay landing. Once the child is born, you return your documents and add the child to the app.

So should I inform CIC now that my wife is pregnant or wait till my baby is born? Or if they ask to return the visa and COPR, can I return to Islamabad embessy because i am going back home.

I called IRCC and lady said they will stamp the visa after i will complete my landing.

Assuming your documents will be valid beyond the birth, wait until the baby is born and add him/her to the application. IRCC will then request your documents back.

The call centre is staffed by untrained people. IRCC is not waiting for you to land before issuing your wife's documents. Islamabad is simply taking longer than Ottawa.

Thanks for the reply. I have a question question. If I email cpc Ottawa that my wife is expecting and then they will call my Visa and COPR back. After that will they continue the same application or a new application? And any idea how long they take to add the baby in the profile?

Hi,
Ideally you should have notified CPC Ottawa when you sent your passport for stamping.Its not too late notify them about your expectant family member.they will understand your situation and process PR visa for your kid aswell.
