Hi guys
Am new member in this forum.
I would like to share you my timeline as Fsw belongs to london office
Recieved file : april/2012
Start processing:june/2012
Medical request:August/2012
Medical done: 5-sep-2012
Medical in ECASE:15-10-2012
And Till now i didn't get any PPR request.
Yesterday i sent email to JMR to ask for any file update and when i can get PPR request,
I was shocked with his reply today as follows:
"Background checks are outstanding and will take many months to complete. We will advise further when in a position to proceed"
I need your advise guys...what does that means?
It means the Visa office did not get a background check report yet. Unless the background check is finished, your file will be "in process". Usually it could complete within 2-3 months. However you need to wait.

Bigboss,
Your travel is one of the reasons why your background checks may be taking time. Qorax has explained background checks very well in his post http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/background-checks-explained-t39578.4800.html. You will get a better idea of your timelines through here.
All the best to you.

I sent the previous email to ask about PPR delay direct to high commition/london
My lawyer blamed me and said maybe they will reject your file cause the official way is to contact them through CAIPS request, is that correct?
I am now confused. Please any help
