I have received my COPR in Mar 2017. But, due to change in my marital status, I was asked by CIC to send additional documents of my wife which I did on August 30,2017.. I have been in IP2 stage since September 05,2017 and there has not been any change in the status.

My CRS score before I got married was 472 and i completed my visa stamping too in Mar 2017. I calculated my current CRS score along with my spouse and it is 457 now. I read somewhere that adding dependents to the e-APR will result in rejecting my ITA and I have to re-initiate the entire process along with my spouse. Is this true?

I am already worried about staying in IP2 for long. Please suggest

No, that is not true. You just need to be patient. It takes several months to process the addition of a spouse.

It seems to be taking 3-4 months to add a spouse these days. So you likely still have a month or two to wait.
