So, I have a unique situation. I have applied for my pgwp online. The online processing times currently are around 83 days and most of the employers are looking for valid pgwp for offering jobs. That is the case in Toronto and Montreal, in my experience.
I am thinking of going to border and getting flagpoling done. I have the following questions:
1. Is flagpoling possible in this way?
2. what would happen to the online application.
Were you able to successfully get a pgwp by flagpoling? I have applied online last week of April and thinking of flagpoling coz processing time has significantly increased, im afraid i might not be able to get my permit before the start date of my employment offer.
You dont need the permit to work although its true some employers will not hire you without it.
You can definitely flagpole even if you applied online but the immigration officer can and sometimes do deny people and tell them to wait for their application to process, try to state your case clearly why you are doing flagpole.
Worst that could happen is they tell you to wait for online application.

You wont het refused for doing a flagpole, they either wont process it and tell you to wait for the one you already applied for or they will process it normally. You can of course be refused if there is something wrong with your application or you broke the PGWP rules somewhere.
