Urgent - PR Virtual Landing for Outland Applicants about to enter Canada on Visitor Visa

Hello all

I need help with Virtual landing for Outland PR applicant.

My wife who is an outland PR applicant from India received PPR request today Feb 6, 2025. We have already booked her tickets to come to Canada on Visitor visa for Feb 26 2025.

There is no definitive language in the PPR letter that addresses our . It says for applicants who are outside of Canada they need to send the passport for stamping within 30 days and for applicants already in Canada they need to raise webform within 5 days.

We need to raise a webform and request her virtual landing one way or another.

Should we do it right now on Feb 6, 2025 while she is still in India ?
OR
Should we wait until after she comes to Canada on visitor visa (Feb 26, 2025) ?

Please share your experience in detail and provide any pointers that be helpful to us.

You can decide to change her ticket and submit there or not. It depends on how much you want to get the PR within certain time period or take your chances and wait. It will definitely be faster if submit passport there. Reported times to get passports back from delhi I don't follow, but to extent I've heard, 3-6 weeks there.

If you decide to go the virtual route, it will be very uncertain timing. You can definitely respond saying she should do virtual landing as she will be in Canada from the xth. I'd do a follow-up webform once she does arrive to confirm.

That can take months. Or at least, quite unclear how long it takes.

yes, switching to virtual landing is very uncertain
but if you're fine to wait for it then i don't see any other issues

Our situation is pretty much fixed that my wife will come here on Feb 26th - that will not change. Given this situation I want to know

Should we raise webform informing IRCC of her travel plan and requesting them to switch her to virtual landing from inland NOW ?
OR
Should we wait until after she comes to Canada on visitor visa (Feb 26, 2025) ?

Write to them now requesting virtual landing after Feb 26. After she arrives, repeat that message confirming now in Canada.
