Me and my wife are Permanent Resident of Canada currently staying in Ontario.
I am planning to bring my parents to visit me and my family in 2015 summer.
I am sending an invitation letter to my parents. In an invitation letter I am specifically mentioning I will financially support their
travel, stay, insurance, medical etc... Also I will send my T4, Notice of Assessment and bank statements.
My father is retired and mother is house wife. Do they need submit any document to show their financial history, land papers?
To prove they will go back I am planing to submit the air ticket.
Do keep in mind that your parents strong ties to India matter more than the documents that you/your wife provide (although it is important nonetheless) for their TRVs
Hence, they must provide proofs for their financial situation (bank statements, investments, bank term deposits, pension schemes, PF/PPF, Income Tax Returns, etc etc) + property ownership/land papers (current market value) + family ties (immediate family/extended family) + any other strong reason to return to India after their visit
But I think the final decision is based on visa office who is reviewing the application. Last year one of my friend applied for TRV for parents without submitting a single document from their side and it got approved.
Perhaps, your friend's parents had traveled previously to either Canada/USA in the last 10 years.... and they applied last year under Can+ which means they only had to provide proofs of their previous Canada/USA visit
