URGENT: On Closed Work Permit and Received ITA for PR

Hi All,

I'm currently on closed work permit that expires in Jan 2019, however, I have received an invitation to applly for PR. However, the chances are that I might get laid off from my current job soon and I can't apply for open work permit until there is a 4-5 months gap in my existing permit to expire.

My question is can I apply or work for any other employer based on ITA received, since I'm currently on closed work permit.

No, you cannot work for any other employer on your current work permit.

Many people have successfully applied for BOWPs after losing their jobs, regardless of the validity of their closed permit.
