The Economic Classes form says that "List only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the NOC". What does this mean? I am a Java analyst and my employer letter says the same but my WP says that I am a Computer Analyst.
Java Analyst is not listed under 2171.What should be the occupation I must write in the economic classes form?
It means list only skilled jobs(NOC 0, A or B) in that section. As you say, "java analyst" falls under NOC 2171(skill level A), so it should be listed there.
Do your main duties as a "java analyst" match with those of NOC 2171?
a) If yes - you can use that code
b) If no - you have to look for a code that closely matches.
If you are currently employed as a "java analyst"(your employment letter says it), then your occupation is "java analyst". If you don't think your job title is correct(for whatever reason) or you don't perform the duties of a data analyst, that is something to discuss with your employer.
HRSDC's website can't possibly have a list of ALL possible job titles that is why they use "main duties" to determine the NOC code.
