All who have ITA & have AOR,

Is it required to submit Birth Certificate? I did not see that as part of the required documents?

If it is, I had a query as typically, my passport has <firstname> <middlename> <lastname> (where <middlename> <lastname> are part of my fathers name>). My spouse's passport has <firstname> <lastname> (where <lastname> is my spouse's fathers name).

However, what would happen if:

1. The birth certificate has only <firstname> and also has my fathers name (effectively my <middlename> <lastname>) would that be an issue? E.g. My name might be John Henry Smith & father name Henry Smith, and birth cert says Name: John, Fathers Name: Henry Smith

2. If my spouse's birth certificate has the name mentioned as <last name initial>. <firstname> would that be an issue?E.g. My spouse's name might be John Henry & fathers name Henry Doe, and birth cert says Name: H. John, Fathers Name: Henry Doe

Please advise.
-S.

You only need birth certificate for dependent children on the applicant - not needed for any adults - passport will suffice

Birth certificates for primary and secondary applicants are requested by provincial programs - for instance, OINP mandates it

Hope this helps
