can someone please advice me on what do I am very confused right now. I am sponsoring my wife and the process is almost completed but last week my wife got a shocking mail from the immigration sayings,
this is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada

subsection 16 (1) of the immigration and refugee protection Act states that a person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we required the following

(1)Basis of claim form (BOC) basis of claim form completed by a foreign nationals seeking protection in Canada.
please note this will be the only opportunity we will provide for you to submit additional evidence, your application will be accessed in 30 days and final decision will me made based on evidence on file if you choose not to respond with additional information a decision will be made which may result in the refusal of your application
I don't understand the logic here I am the one sponsoring her to come to Canada through family class,
I don't know why they need her to submit basis of claim form as if she is claiming for protection in Canada, anyone with kind of situation should please advice me on what to do
thanks

did your spouse (PA) earlier apply for refugee protection or indicated in the forms Immigration Status as Refugee Claimant.

Basis of Claim Form

its very confusing....you need to act fast as 30 days is short.....the sponsor can contact IRCC on phone for clarification and maybe send an explanation letter through IRCC webform to your visa office.

If you are sponsoring her through the Family Class, then this is likely an error. Send a Webform marked "Urgent" and ask for clarification.
