My daughter's marriage is taking place in Canada. I have valid USA visa . A dowry case 498 a is pending against me in India. The Indian high court has given me the permission to go Canada and USA to attend marriage. I want to know whether I am admissible to get the Canada visa or not. I will stay Canada only for 9 days. Urgent reply please.

You've mentioned that your case is before the High Court. Is the case for 498A still pending before the District Court or have you filed an appeal in the High Court after the judgement was passed in the District Court?
Sec. 498A is a non-bailable, non-compoundable (cannot be withdrawn) offence. Have you been granted bail by the Court?
You must answer 'Yes' to the Question 3 in the Background Information section of the TRV form.... and provide details in a supplement ie case details filed before the court + copy of the bail order + order passed by the High Court permitting you to travel abroad + proofs of the next court date.... these must be court certified orders/originals, if possible.
You may also want to mention that the courts are on summer vacations when you plan to visit (if that is the case).
If you have traveled abroad during the hearings of these court cases.... especially to the US.... then you should provide evidence to show that you have returned to India on the date(s) stated.
Make sure you provide solid documentation to prove your other strong ties to India.... property/ family/ financial/ previous travel, etc
If other members of your family are applying to visit Canada for your daughter's wedding.... then have they also been charged with Sec.498A.... or is it only yourself? If they have not been charged then they must apply for TRVs alone.... without you.... and you can apply later. This way they will have better chances of getting TRVs.
If you are also visiting the US then your trip itinerary should be India>> Canada>> US>> India.... state this in your TRV application.... you must submit flight itinerary (provisional, not confirmed flight tickets).
You can also expect your TRV application to be either refused pretty quickly.... or else it could much take longer than CIC website stated times if the visa office needs to obtain information from third party sources (court, police, etc)

I have also problem, My wife and I send our application together and she got her visa but I was wondering why my application is not process yet since we both send our application together in one envelop. I tried to email immigration in Philippines several time but never hear anything from them. Can you please tell me what is the best to do.
