URGENT: Can I leave Canada temporarily while on a PGWP?

Hello everyone,

I am currently living in Ontario on a post graduation work permit, working towards applying for express entry. However, something very urgent came up in my home country (South Korea), and I have to leave for one month. I am planning on booking a flight ASAP. I do not have a temporary resident visa, but i do have an eTa. I have a few questions:

1. Can I leave Canada and come back without the TRV?

if no...

2. Can I apply for the TRV whilst in my home country and receive it electronically to show to customs when i re-enter Canada?

Assuming you hold a South Korean passport then you are visa exempt according the CIC site so all you need is a valid ETA to board a flight back. Have details about your PGWP with you when you enter Canada on the return
