urgent advice needed for algonquin college

hello everyone ,

i got offer letter from algonquin college for 1 year pg course in interactive media management .When i applied for this course , they replied that as they will take my technical interview and then if i clear that , they will review my portfolio and then they will decide that i qualify or not . But next day they sent me the offer letter themselves,. Has anyone been through this kind of situation ? ShouLd i be happy or wondor if it is a confusion?

how strict is algonquin for admission ? and do backlogs matter to them ?
Is it considered a good or bad college compared to bcit and lasalle ?

Hey have you ever got an answer?
I wish to go to university in Ottawa. applied to Carleton (+OttawaU - joint program). Algonquin would be my only other option if the first fails. But I am afraid visa-wise they might not like the fact that its not a university , but a college. The idea is that after my 2 year program there plus some work i wanna apply for PR. Thoughts?
