They might ask you what category you need medicals for, my doctor chose 'worker' for my upfront
medicals, as CEC is not an option. He said he does that all the time, so I assume this should be fine.

"should be able to". Some prefer not to though, due to the extra procedure of assigning UMI numbers, which requires future linking to the application file, a possible cause of confusion they want to avoid.. :
