Upfront Medical for Primary Applicant & Dependent

Hi there,

Request your assistance on the below queries,

Background – I have submitted my Express Entry profile (with CRS score 484 – I have a valid job offer and also currently working in the job with valid work permit). My wife & kid is living with me in Canada (under Visitor visa). My wife & Kid will be leaving to India on October-2019 and will be living there until Feb-2020. Hoping that I would get a ITA in the upcoming draw(being optimistic ), I have few queries,

1. Can I do medical checkup for my dependents upfront ? Confused with the below statements from CIC,

“You can’t get an upfront medical exam if you’re applying to sponsor your spouse, partner or child. Wait for our instructions before going for your medical exam.”

2. I am planning to complete Medical & PCC before my dependents leave to India. Whether my dependents should be in Canada until PR process gets completed ? Please note that I am the primary applicant, I will continue to reside in Canada and my PR application is inland type.
