I want to wire the GIC funds with a different account (Not the one I mentioned in Scotia Bank application form) since its been inactive fr some reason.
What is the procedure if i want to transfer the funds from a different account (My own bank account)? Do i need to update the bank details with the Scotia Bank or i just can proceed with the Wire transfer ?
As far as I know you can transfer funds only from account u used in GIC application, dont transfer funds funds from another account, U will be wasting around 1500 rs and 5-6 days as the money will return back.
bro i m also in this same situation. but i manage this situation with by telling my situation to my gic agent in canam. he said u should transfer ur funds from u r old account number which u have given in gic scotia bank. then i transferred my fund from that account and the recipt which i got from the bank.and then i take that recipt and scan and just attach by fillin that form again and giving my new account number. And just sent that mail from my gic account. and withn 5 days i got my certificate
