UPDATE!!!! Got SA just now!!

Hi all who know me and my crazy stresfull journey to get PR!! My husband just got an e-mail from CIC....He is aproved as a sponsor!!

I dont know when and If I will get AIP soon....But fingers crossed ....

I am January 30th 2014 aplicant....one of the last January ones left

Im SO Excited but SOOOOO nervous to see what they will say in My e-mail....ugh!

I Hope so!! I'm so nervous that they wont give me AIP. But is AIP automaticly issued as soon as your sponson gets SA....that means that you(Aplicant) gets the AIP???...and then they continue processing your aplication...asking for medical etc? is That how it works? You'd think I would Know this by now lol

Actually...AIP is not automatic after SA.

All they need to see is proof that you:

1. Are the spouse or partner of your sponsor (YES)
2. Are cohabiting with sponsor IN Canada (YES)
3. Temporary Resident Status (waived thanks to the public policy)
4. Sponsorship submitted and approved (YES)
5. Are not excluded form the class due to R125 provisions- excluded relationships (NO)

Medical and criminality checks are done AFTER AIP (according to CIC document IP8 anyway).

You'll get AIP and then can apply for your OWP, if you haven't already.
