I am applying for my study permit for 18 months in Ontario. My family are coming with me, which includes my 3 minor children.
I am struggling to find the answers to my questions about what visas ( if any) they need. We are from a visa exempt country so My wife dosnt need one if she dosnt intend to work.
All the info I find says my children will need study permits. open study permits. Other pages say that if they are there with me and I have my my study permit, then they don't actually need one.
Is there a special form for an Open study permit, it would be easier to apply for one for them as it could save a lot of hassle later on.
I can't complete the usual study permit form for them, since I don't have an acceptance letter from a school. To be honest they will likely be homeschooled while we are there anyway.
any thoughts or advice !
Thanks

1. Minor do not need SP if they are below 6 and attending pre-school/KG
2. Minor need 'Open SP' if they are 6 to 18. You do not need a letter of acceptance for an Open SP. Fill up a regular SP application.
Thanks for that. So I am filling the first one out as i speak. There are so many questions I cannot answer and the form will not 'validate' Do I need to put how much is needed for his tuition and living costs ?
