So, my wife got her sponsor approval letter from Missisauga Feb 16th, where it says "the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in Unspecified for further processing..." and "Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative, you must email the visa office listed above directly using the case specific enquiries form..."
Since then I've received request letters to upload Schedule A, Police Certificate and IMM5546 (Details of Military Service form). All these letters have come from CPC Missisauga.
So...which would be my processing Visa Office? According to the CIC web page it should be London (I'm a Swedish citizen), however I've seen that a lot of cases who would normally go through London are being processed in Ottawa. Or could it be somewhere else? Anyone with the same experience?
Did you try calling CIC call centre?

Can't do that since I'm in Sweden, and the call centre only accepts calls from Canada. My wife is here as well since 14 years.
It seems like your application is still in CPC Mississauga. Just send them all the documents they requested.
They will send you another letter with the Visa Office details.
this is very strange, i've never seen the visa office be "unspecified". perhaps this is specific to military applicants?
in any case, i'd first suggest to submit a case specific enquiry online and choose missisauga if you can. it could be staying there for some reason. They have done this in the past to help with overflow issues.
then, i'd order the file's GCMS notes to see if there are any clues in there about the visa office. Even though it'll take a month to get the notes, it will be helpful in case no other help is given.
If no help is given after all that, I'd recommend calling the sponsor's MP (member of parliament) - even if they are not in canada. If the sponsor has family in canada or you know where you'll be moving to, look up the mp for that area and ask for help.

Well, I'm not really a military applicant...did 10 months compulsory military service at the age of 18, more than 20 years ago.
Guess I'll just have to sit tight and see what happens.

oh ok, well please keep us updated. this is certainly something not seen often. best of luck!
No one had the same experience?
I'll probably wait for a bit to see what happens and then take the advice from CDNPR2014 if there is no action

There is a similar case to yours on the tracking spreadsheet (see the link in my signature line) - refer to the entry for AshMyl. They received a sponsor approval notice, but no note of the visa office it was being sent to.
Seems to be pretty rare. I would guess (and that is all it is) that it is a screw up and nothing more sinister (no consolation to you though). I would guess that if / when the VO concerned needs more information, it may become clear who they are!

You may as well order your notes now, as they take 30 days.
Mississauga has retained outland apps in the past when the outland VO has been particularly busy, so that is most likely what has happened. As your app is being processed normally anyways, it isn't something to worry about.
Agree, likely overflow and they forgot to change the email form. It's not mysterious code, it's just a bug/typo/mistake.
You can actually call the call centre from outside Canada, but it's a different number.
How to reach CIC IRCC Call Centre Toll Free Number from outside Canada
Dial +1 613 944 4000
Option 1 for English
Option 1 for CIC IRCC
Your call will be forwarded to the CIC IRCC Call Centre
Keep in mind you might have to call a few times to get through, but that's "normal".
