Unpaid Summer Internship

I'm pursuing my Masters in Canada. I'm currently on my Scheduled Summer Break (No courses offered/taken). I don't require an internship for my studies (i.e. not required as part of the curriculum or to graduate). However, I have got an UNPAID Internship Opportunity for the Summer (it ends in last week of August 2024). Can I pursue this internship? Would I be violating any study permit/labour laws? Is there anything I need to know? Since it is unpaid, does the company require my SIN Number? Should I notify IRCC about this?

Summer internship is considered work so no issue.
