Hi there

Is there anyone currently studying or have applied to University of Guelph for the graduate studies? I am seeking to apply for the PHD in Engineering. The deadline for fall 2014 is May 1. Being an International Student, shall I apply for fall 2014 or Winter 2015? Would be nice if any concerned person can help me with this?

It can be that there are no PHD candidates or anyone in similar situation yet

If your docs like transcripts and Ielts are ready then you should apply because it will take 7 days to reach there. If not then try for winter2015. All the best

Just apply. The sooner you apply the better. You can always defer your start date to the next term if you want. Just make sure you are able to do so.

I contacted Guelph regarding my application and this is what they mail... They are saying they will take dis much time...

"Our application deadline is May 1. Applicants will receive a response regarding admission by the end of June/beginning of July at the latest. We endeavour to respond sooner but cannot guarantee it. Thank you for your patience in waiting to hear from us"

Even if I apply for Jan/Winter intake, the result will be given end of October. More or less the same thing. Not much difference
