Has anyone attempted to apply for this. The mother is a TWF (currently on Mat leave) and father myself is Canadian.

I have downloaded form RC66sch-13E.pdf (RC66 Canada Child Benefits Application) http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/tf/rc66/README.html

Would my wife become a resident of Canada the day she first went through immigration? She was issued a visa for each employer she has had in Canada over the last 3.5 years. She has had three employers. She thus should qualify without issues.

Thanks

Michael

If she holds a TWP, that gives her the residency requirement to apply for Child Benefits, but both of you need to be physically present in Canada,
Present your application, and the necessary supporting documents. You can request the benefits to be paid to you or to hers, the way that works better for you both.

Good luck,
