If someone were to take an unauthorised leave while in Canada on a student visa, for an entire academic year, and continued to work as per their Off-Campus work permit, how would this impact their PGWP application? They continued to be enrolled, but simply did not attend and received grades reading ‘Registered - Not Present’. If their study permit expired before they could enrol in classes, again, how likely would it be that their status would be restored?
It might be worth mentioning that this student has not been making timely progress, and has been enrolled for 3x the length of the course they are enrolled in due to withdrawing and repeating classes. They have also never left Canada.

1. Well they were working without permission, so a good chance they may be reported.
2. The School has probably already reported to IRCC that the person has dropped out of classes.
3. So there is an excellent chance no PGWP and a good chance of a removal order.

If im not mistaken I think i read on another forum that if a student's permit is still valid but not attending classes.all student has to do is leave canada. While out of canada.student get a letter of offer from school.show the agent at border the letter and valid permit..student can enter Canada..is this correct??
The person I am referring to has not graduated. I do question why they have not received a removal order. However, they have not enrolled in 2019-2020 classes (class has already started), and their study permit recently expired. Either their school has not reported their absence, or they got lost in the shuffle. I am thinking, because they have not re-enrolled/applied for a study permit, they have not been rejected.

They dont send removal orders to students who dont go to school. I was referring to how the school could continue to keep them enrolled all year without attendance.
