Acknowledgement Of Receipt at Mississauga: Sponsor UCI
Sponsorship Approval: Sponsor UCI
Acknowledgement Of Receipt at Visa Office: Applicant UCI
To log into ECAS while the sponsor application was being processed, I think we had to use the sponsor UCI, sponsor surname/date of birth/birth country, and after sponsorship approval we had to use the applicant UCI with the applicant surname/date of birth/birth country.
...once the sponsor approve his/her eligibility embassy will give uci number for the sponsor.
uci for sponsor and applicant are not the same, different because not the same numbers. but when checking your application status from ecas both uci will works. when the applicant ask for passport request by the embassy through email that's the time embassy will give it's own uci. if the applicant receive his/her visa, personal uci will appear to his/her passport as well.
If the sponsor has gone through a Canadian immigration before themselves (pr, etc.) they will always have the same UCI number. The UCI number stays with the person.
So my husband applied for a visitor visa in 2010 and got his UCI number. When I sponsored him for pr in 2012 he had the same UCI number.
The sponsor and applicant are assigned different UCI numbers, but their individual numbers will always be the same (person A. 012345, person B. 098765)

It's definitely not on the passport. Not sure about the citizenship. It's not a big deal if you cant find it. They will easily be able to get it for you and give it to u once u have gotten sponsor approval.

You can find your UCI no. on your Record of Landing aka COPR. You should always keep this document, even if you become a citizen in the meantime, because you will need it for pension purposes (old age pension).
As a naturalized Canadian, you will have several occasions where you will need to show the exact date of your arrival (landing) in Canada.
Remember the paper you got the day when you became PR before your PR card and those document must be keep according to their instruction. PR number are same with your UCI# when you became Canadian Citizen you only surrender PR card not your PR paper.
