UAE police clearance

I spent 8 months in Abu Dhabi a number of years ago. I live in the UK but will be in Dubai next month and intend to get a police clearance certificate in person.

My resident visa was issued in Abu Dhabi - does anyone know if Dubai will have a problem issuing a certificate? Anyone had any experience getting a PCC from a different emirate from where they lived? Many thanks.

You could try at a Dubai Police station, but my guess is they won't and will ask you to go do it in AD instead. If you lived there, you know what its like!

A friend of yours can go but send him some passport size photos with a photocopy of your passport and vacation visa page

You can apply for a police certificate as long as you have an Emirates ID. Applying for one should be very easy if you do have one.
