Anyone who applied for TRV at NYC office recently, Can you guys please share what is the turnaround time these days? I sent my application almost 4 weeks ago and I haven't heard from them. For my last visa in 2009, i got it back in couple of weeks. So I was wondering if there is some problem with my application or the processing for mail in application is going slow these days. Please share.
I am waiting on mine to be returned. The time mentioned was 30 days on an average.
I sent my paperwork in on the 15th of December and they received it on the 16th. Its January 9th today so hopefully I might get it this week or early next week. I sent them a USPS prepaid envelope to expedite the return.
So I will keep you posted.

I just received my TRV visa in the mail today 1-11-2012 I sent it in on the 12-15-2011. It took less than 30 days which is fantastic. I did overnite my mail to and fro with a return envelope and a tracking number so that definately helped cut down the mail time. If you are in a rush and don't want to travel for the same day service just spend a lil extra to have the passport shipped back and forth. The USPS prices are low as well.
