Turnaround time for FBI PCC

Hi Star Members,

I have paid the 18$ fees online and going to send my fingerprint card to FBI address from India, What is the turnaround time for the report to be received back to me? I heard that, its fast when u follow the online procedure by paying online fees, Please suggest.

PS: Stayed in US for 5 years for my PHD.

even when I am in India? One of the agency in India told me 2 months, I am currently located in India

and I think It would online take less than a week to the fingerprint to reach FBI through courier, One of the fingerprint agency told me about the 2 month processing time.

I did it from india for me and my wife and got the electronic pcc pdf in 3 days. You don't need hardcopy.

It took me 1 day to get the FBI PCC from the day documents were received by FBI.

Wow Thanks Navinball and Jaywalker for the information. These agencies are charging 3000 INR for fingerprint assitance only and 12000 INR for expedite processing of FBI report, making fool of everyone. Also is it easy to take fingerprint on FBI card by ourself?

Official timeline is 3 to 5 days after receiving fingerprints, most likely they process it within 1-2 days. After processing, you will receive electronic report immediately (which is sufficient for submission to CIC). Paper report will be mailed by snail mail and can take 1-2 weeks to reach India.

Would suggest you to do fingerprinting assistance from a good vendor. You can do it on your own but I got it done from a registered vendor. You can find the list of vendors who specialise in the same on US embassy website in India. Take at least 2 sets of fingerprints and then courier on your own. Its a simple process and you should get the FBI PCC immediately. There is no need of expedited processing from anyone. Do on your own and save money.

I paid 2500 for a set of 2. It’s totally worth it because FBI does rejects fingerprints. These vendors are professionals and they know how to take fingerprints. So no point taking chances.

we did it ourselves. get an inless pad and practise a few times. send them 3 or 4 copies
