Folks – I have an inquiry about a WP while on a TRV. Here's my situation...
1. I'm a PNP nominee.
2. I'm outland (US based)
3. I'm applying for Jobs in Canada ahead or in alignment with my planned move
4. I have AOR (Done my medicals)
5. I'm NOT from a Visa exempt.
I plan on applying for a TRV to attend an engineering conference. If I get a job offer, I plan on applying for WP inside Canada, online on the basis of my TRV. Is this possible?

You may want to run through and check your eligibility and determine if you can apply in Canada
http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp
Normally - see here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-eligible.asp
If you apply from inside Canada
You can only apply for a work permit from inside Canada if you:
- are currently in Canada and have a valid study or work permit, or your spouse or parents have a study or work permit,
- have graduated from a program at a Canadian university, community college, CÉGEP, publicly funded trade/technical school or other eligible school,
- have a temporary resident permit that is valid for six months or more, or
- are in Canada because you have already applied for permanent residence from inside Canada (you will have to pass certain stages in the main application process to be eligible for a work permit).
